PEN Q is a platform where books travel between people, collecting personal dedications along the way. Your privacy matters to us — here's how we handle your data.
Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number. This is used to identify you within the app and enable book sharing.
Content You Create: Dedications you write, books you upload, and reading progress are stored to provide the core PEN Q experience.
Device Information: We collect basic device data (device type, OS version) for crash reporting and app improvement through Firebase Crashlytics.
We use your information to provide the book-sharing experience — delivering books, displaying dedications, and tracking your reading progress. We also use it to enable communication between users when sharing books, improve app stability through crash reports, and send notifications about books you receive.
We do not sell your personal data.
Your name appears on dedications you write (unless you choose anonymous). Your reading activity is not shared with other users. We use Firebase (Google) for data storage and authentication.
Your data is stored securely on Firebase (Google Cloud). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections and authenticated access to all data.
You can request to view, update, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your account, which will remove your personal information. Note that dedications you wrote on books that have been shared may remain as part of the book's journey.
PEN Q is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
